Hello,

This is not an accessibility question: My wife has a Samsung Galaxy Note 2, and She's going to need to use reminders, timers, the calendar, and so forth on Her phone. I know She can use Google Now to do some things, She really hasn't yet tried this.
First, is Google Now able to do these types of things?
Second, is there just a simple way for Her to do this? She is definitely not a Android geek, aka not going to take to this if we're talking an installation of a whole different set of things and shells and extensions. Surely, there's a straightforward way for Her to be able to quickly set things like appointments and reminders? And perhaps to get a response back for when the next ones are coming up, etc.? She's just taken a directorship position and now has to move from hands-on to administrative type duties at Her job.
Any help for what She'll need would be appreciated. She does fine with Her phone, doing banking, downloading games and similar type things, using email and all that. But alarms and similar things has never been that intuitive for Her.
So any easy way for Her to do it, probably both with the voice and visually being able to see at a blance what's coming up, would be helpful.

Thanks,

Leo

Your cellular company probably has a work shop, or class.
Call and send her to one.

Some of these things Google Now will do, like create reminders, appointments, etc. However, the timer and alarms are managed on the phone itself. For the Google Now services, you can use voice search to schedule things like reminders. Just tap the microphone and say something like "remind me at 4:00 PM to thank my husband for teaching me how to create a reminder". I suppose you could also set an appointment as an alarm too with this method, but it won't have that alarm type noise to go with it. There should also be an "apps" icon on one of the home screens. Check in there to see if there is a stopwatch/calendar app. I hope this helps.

Thanks for this. Once She's ready to look at it , I'll use what you said.
